The new seasons of meetings for the Southern Photography Society begins tonight (Wednesday).

The SPS is a group of photographers who meet every other Wednesday from September to May in the clubhouse at Colby Football Club.

Members says all abilities are welcome and you don’t need an expensive camera.

The aim of the club is to promote an interest in photography through a varied programme of presentations, practical sessions and optional competitions.

An exhibition of members’ best work is currently on show at the Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin until late September. Admission is free.

Anyone from any part of the island can join.

The annual subscription is £25.

The new season starts on Wednesday, September 8, with an introductory evening from 7.45pm.

Anyone who goes should bring £2 towards room hire and refreshments.
