This wrecked car has been abandoned at a beauty spot.

The Volvo, which had sustained severe front end damage, was dumped at the picnic site off the Glen Rushen Road below Arrasey plantation.

A notice was placed on its windscreen on Thursday (April 20) warning that it was considered to be an abandoned vehicle and if it wasn’t moved within 24 hours, it would be removed by the Department of Infrastructure and destroyed.But the car was still there on Sunday when our reporter took these photographs.
