Fire crews from Peel fire station were called out to deal with a single vehicle road traffic collision.

The incident on Poortown Road, Peel took place at 1.50pm on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle had overturned and was stuck on its roof.

The driver was out of the car by the time the fire service arrived and was being checked over by an ambulance crew.

Fire crews remained at the scene for a short while to make the vehicle safe for recovery.

This was the second road accident the fire service had responded to following an earlier incident at 11am in the area of Wigan Lane, Ballamodha.
