A mental health unit is looking to spread Christmas cheer by encouraging members of the public to send Christmas cards to patients.

Manannan Court in Braddan hopes to make its Christmas card appeal a tradition after last year’s success.

’We were absolutely blown away by the amount of cards we received and by the most lovely messages inside. Your words of kindness, hope, and humour helped make Christmas that much brighter on our ward!’ a spokesman said.
