Money has been raised in two events for a charity that’s trying to find a cure for myeloma, a blood cancer that doesn’t have a cure.
The first event saw restaurateur Conor Sullivan, owner of La Mona Lisa in Laxey, take part in the Microgaming triathlon raising £1,455.
He swam in the Mooragh Park lake in Ramsey, cycling around the north of the island and then ran around Mooragh Park in two hours and 40 minutes.
A coffee morning at The Windsor Coffee Co, above Paparazzi, in Douglas, attended by more than 100 people raised £2,093.30.
All raffle prizes were donated.
There are more than 25 myeloma patients in the island.
