As part of its planning application for the construction of 20 flats within three accommodation blocks on the former Mart Site, Bowring Road, Ramsey, site owner Athol Street Auctioneers Ltd asked the planning committee for approval to pay government an agreed sum in lieu of affordable housing, which is normally required in such a development.

This was approved.

A separate agreement will be required in respect of the legally required public open space provision.

Ramsey Commissioners have resolved to accept a payment of £4,301.
