A cafe where guests can relax while cats roam around them could paw-ssibly be introduced to the island.

Cat fans have been told to ’watch this space’ by the Manx Cat Cafe Facebook Page, which says a cat cafe is on the way.

It adds that the cafe would sell light snacks and hot and cold beverages in a ’warm and welcoming environment where you can relax with our resident Manx cats’.

No further comment has been given by those behind the initiative.

Cat cafes are a global trend that originated in Taiwan, which opened the world’s first cat cafe named ’Cat Flower Garden’ in 1998.

The idea is to provide animal affection to those whose busy working lives prevent them from looking after a pet.
