Mollag Ghennal, an annual celebration of Manx music and dance, took place at the Manx Legion Hall, in Douglas.

The festive night is traditionally held between Christmas and New Year.

It’s organised by the Manx folk pop group the Mollag Band, led by singer and guitarist Greg Joughin.

The night was opened by folk youth group Scran, headed by Paul Rogers.

And the evening’s line-up included former Scran member and BBC Young Folk Musician of the Year 2018 Mera Royle, who is currently studying traditional music at Newcastle University.

There was a joint performance by fiddler player David Kilgallon and guitarist Malcolm Stitt, together with members of their family.

There was also a chance to see a version of the Whiteboys play and dance.
