Ramsey Chamber of Commerce has a new leader.
Luke Parker, a local commissioner and director of ’Outdoors Ramsey’, was made chairman at the annual general meeting on May 1.
He takes over from long-serving chairman Chris Blatcher, who said: ’Luke is a great asset to the Chamber and his energy and passion is what is needed to take it forward into its next chapter.’
Mr Parker has been involved with the organisation for more than five years and has been vice chairman since 2016.
He said: ’It has been a privilege to work alongside like-minded people who want to develop the town and make it a great place to live, visit and, most of all, shop. I look forward to continuing the work the Chamber does and building relationships with businesses within and around the town.’
The Chamber generally meets on the first Monday of the month unless bank holidays or certain events clash, in which case meeting are arranged accordingly.
