Ramsey Chamber of Commerce held an open evening at the Mitre Hotel recently, with invitations going out to the majority of businesses in the north.
Luke Parker, the commissioners’ representative, reported that the evening was a huge success, with well over 35 businesses represented
’It was a fantastic evening and great to see the business community coming together’, he said.
The Chamber is supportive of next month’s Cyclefest and is encouraging shops and businesses around the town to decorate their windows with a cycle theme display.
Mr Parker also represents the board on the Ramsey Youth Project, which will hold its annual general meeting at 6pm tonight (Tuesday) at its premises on Waterloo Road.
The Youth Project, which has seen a welcome increase in numbers over the past couple of months, received many nominations in the Co-op local charity scheme where people could vote for their local charity. As a result, it has received a donation of almost £6,000 to assist in its work.
