Special Olympics Isle of Man have received a welcome boost from Peel Charity Shop.
The funds are to help towards new kit and travel expenses for some 18 athletes and their coaches who are due to attend the summer games in Abu Dhabi between March 7 and 22.
These games take place every four years.
The Special Olympics Isle of Man charity, based at Centre 21 in Douglas, was founded in 1985 and helps men, women and children with intellectual disabilities through sport.
Along with 170 other countries, Special Olympics is the largest sporting organisation in the world.
The Peel Charity Shop committee thanked the many volunteers who give up their time, and members of the public who donate and buy goods from their shop on Peel Promenade. Each year many charities benefit from its donations.
The next donation event will take place on Friday April 5 at Corrin Hall, Peel, between 10am and noon.
