Sight Matters is inviting people to saddle up and place their bets for a ’Night at the Races’ next weekend.
The charity’s race night will return next Friday, November 12, at Corrin Court, Onchan, from 7pm.
Throughout the evening, eight horse races will be played on a large screen with the return of the highly anticipated pig race.
Bets can be placed at £1 per horse or £2 per pig, with special prizes up for grabs on the evening.
Tickets cost £5 and include homemade soup and a dessert, with guests welcome to bring their own soft and alcoholic drinks. There is also an opportunity to sponsor a horse race for £10.
Debbie Thomson, Sight Matters volunteer and community services lead, said: ’Events like this are a huge part of our fundraising efforts and help us continue to provide the vital support and services to the blind and visually impaired community in the island.
’It’s fun for all ages so why not gather your friends and family and come and join us for an evening of laughs and giggles, all while raising money for our charity.’
