A charity walk which brings people together to show their support for those who have been bereaved by suicide takes place in May.

Participants are invited to sign up for Darkness into Light, a 5km walk along Douglas seafront which will set off from the Sea Terminal, Douglas, at 4.15am on May 9.

The walk coincides with events taking place around the world. The events are hosted by Pieta, a charity that provides therapy to people in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide.

Proceeds from the island walk will be split between Pieta and Isle Listen, a mental health initiative aimed at young people in the island.
