A charity worker from Onchan is wearing a superhero cape to raise money.

Karen Harris, business support services manager of Crossroads Care, is trying to clock up as many miles as she can by running, walking and cycling over 100 days.

She plans to wear the cape throughout.

Karen said: ’The Superhero Challenge is all about people having fun while they aim to push themselves a little bit further than they would do normally.

’No matter what their fitness levels are anyone can join in and if they raise funds for us at the same time then we believe that is a bonus!

Both my daughters, Trish and Kathryn are also wearing capes throughout the challenge so watch out for us around the island and in Lancashire where Kathryn lives.’
