Towns around the island are holding their annual Christmas light switch-on events this month.
This year’s Douglas Christmas light switch-on will take place on Thursday, November 19. The proceedings will start at 5.30pm.
There will be no central gathering for the switch on this year, as the Christmas lights are spread across several different sites in the town - but the Mayor of Douglas Jon Joughin will be addressing the town through a speaker system at 7pm as the lights are switched on, so that he can be heard throughout Douglas.
Christmas in Douglas this year will also see other areas hosting different types of attractions, such as Castle Street being transformed into an outdoor cinema playing The Snowman on a loop, along with deck chairs and blankets.
The switch-on events in Peel and Castletown are both happening on the same day, November 28.
Castletown’s event will take place in the square from 5pm-8pm, with the switching on itself at 6pm.
There will also be music, food, kids activities, and Santa’s grotto.
Local shops will be open late and there will be festive drinks.
Peel’s switch on will take place at 5pm accompanied by fireworks and a Christmas market, which includes stalls from local traders and crafters.
Santa is due to arrive earlier in the day at 3pm.
Musical entertainment will feature the Crosby Silver Band, Women in Song Choir, Roc Vannin Choir, Ellan Vannin Pipes and Drums, and Skeddan Jiarg Manx Dance Group.
In Ramsey, the switch-on will happen on November 21 at 4.45pm.
The event will start at 2.30pm with the arrival of Father Christmas.
Musical entertainment will include the Ramsey Town Band and Roc Vannin, and there will also be children’s rides.
