The Church of England says it has no issues with the possibility of TT races being held on a Sunday, with road closures causing disruption to people travelling to worship.

Under the proposed changes for TT 2023, what is traditionally known as ‘Mad Sunday’ would instead be scheduled for the Superbike TT.

While some Christians have voiced their concerns about racing taking place on a Sunday, when contacted by the Manx Independent the Diocese of Sodor and Man said it did not wish to comment on the matter.
