A Manx singer, dancer and holder of a top cultural title has been reappointed to Culture Vannin.
Clare Kilgallon RBV (above)will serve a second and final five-year term as one of three board members selected from the general public.
Clare has a highly-experienced background in Manx cultural activities, and has represented the island both at cultural events on and off the island.
She is the leader of the Manx Gaelic choir Cliogaree Twoaie, as well as being a member of Caarjyn Cooidjagh, and is a long-term member of the Manx dance groups Bock Yuan Fannee and the Manx Folk Dance Society.
She was awarded the Reih Bleanney Vanannan for her services to Manx culture in 2014.
Claire said: ’I’m absolutely delighted to be chosen for a second term.
’I thoroughly enjoyed the last five years and think Culture Vannin is a wonderful organisation which promotes and supports so many different aspects of our island’s culture and cultural heritage and to be part of that is a great honour indeed.’
