A community theatre group returned to the stage for first time since the Covid-19 crisis began with a celebration variety show.
Cloideryn Theatre group performed over two nights last weekend, complete with musical numbers, performance, comedy and magic put on by both the old and young performers from the northern-based gang.
The show featured songs from well know musicals such as Les Miserables, including a lively rendition of ’Master of the House’ with Rhys Yardley taking the lead role.
There was also a great performance from the Cloideryn Children who staged routines from Bugsey Malone.
There were also duets from Heather Ruffino and Jean Kennish and from Rhys Yardley and Jonathan Gray, along with and a tribute to Dame Vera Lynn
There were also guest performances from the hand bell ringers, solo singing by Cat Mills, brass music from the Ramsey Tuesday Tooters, magic card tricks from young performer ’Oscar’ with comparing and comedy from David Barker.
’It was so great to be back together again and made us realise how lucky we are over here on the island to have the freedom,’ said organiser Heather Ruffino.
’A very special thank you to all who took part and now we look forward to starting rehearsals for the Ramsey Pantomime Aladdin, which will be staged at the weekends end of January beginning of February.’
