The Co-op is holding a giveaway competition for local causes and initiatives as part of activities to mark Manx Co-op’s centenary on the island.
To celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Duke Street, Douglas, Co-op, £10,000 will be awarded to four different local projects.
Between August 28 and September 11, nominations can be made for local causes and initiatives to share in the funds for elephants such as equipment for sports teams, initiatives to benefit health, well-being or education and improving community spaces.
Andy Corrie, Co-op area operations manager, said: ’This is a proud year for Manx Co-op, and for colleagues past and present across the island.
’A plaque was unveiled outside our Duke Street store in July to mark 100 years since the first store opened on the Island.
’We are now calling on residents to "Make a Wish", telling us how we can make a difference in their community, with projects across the island receiving a funding boost of up to £2,500 each.’
Nominations can be made in-store using a ’Make a Wish’ card or online.
