A Douglas cocktail bar has retained its 1-Pin status following a reassessment by an international bar guide.

Kiki Lounge, on North Quay, was awarded one Pin by The Pinnacle Guide when its recognition system launched in 2024.

The bar has now retained the status following the guide’s two-year reassessment process.

The Pinnacle Guide says venues are assessed anonymously across a range of areas, including drinks, service, sustainability, diversity and their contribution to the wider community.

It says some of the anonymous reviewers who assessed Kiki Lounge this time had previously visited the venue.

Since receiving its first Pin, Kiki Lounge has also climbed to number 28 in the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list.

The bar has also been named among the Happiest Places to Work in the British Isles and won the CLASS Bar Award for Sustainability and Community Impact.

Kiki Lounge says its approach includes sourcing locally where possible, operating a four-day working week and passing the full service charge on to staff.
