The Family Library and Mobile Library is holding an open day tomorrow (Thursday) from 12pm to 3pm at its base on Westmoreland Road, Douglas.
This event is being held to provide an opportunity for people to learn about the different services that are offered and to see the facilities that are available.
The whole of the Family Library building will be open for tours and there will be demonstrations and displays with light refreshments being served.
There will also be plenty of games, prizes, a treasure hunt, story time and raffle.
The Mobile Library and other vehicles will be open for viewing and discussion on the routes and wide-ranging services that they can provide, including the schools, bibliotherapy and home delivery services.
The Family Library is also encouraging people to come to collect their free "goodie bags" and information packs on the Summer Reading Scheme, which is still taking place.
The challenge this year is to read six books and write your own review of them. Each time you bring a review into the library, you will receive a sticker and a badge and, after collecting all six, you will be invited to a special party in September to celebrate.
