A local library is to hold a series of creative writing sessions aimed at helping people begin the process of writing their own novel.
November is ’National Novel Writing Month’, a global initiative to encourage people to write and librarian Gemma Quilliam, is inviting aspiring authors and novelists to come to the Ward Library, in Peel, each Saturday throughout November and work on their own novels.
’The simple premise is to spend this month drafting out your novel,’ said Gemma.
’If all you have so far is an idea, that’s fine.
’Just turn up with your notepad or laptop and use these informal drop in sessions to turn it into a reality.’
The sessions begin next Saturday, November 7, from 9am to 5pm, with writers able to come along anytime and use the library’s free resources.
There is no need to book places.
