A by-election will be held by Ramsey Town Commissioners for four new people to join the board.

The local authority currently has one vacant seat in its North Ward following the death of Wilf Young which was announced at the end of last month.

There are also three openings for new representatives in the South Ward. Both Stella Moss and Alby Oldham resigned, whilst Reverend Greenwood didn’t attend the required number of meetings to remain on the board.

Nominations will open for candidates at 10am on Wednesday May 20 and must be submitted by 1pm on May 27.

If either election is contested, polling will take place on June 25.
