Manx gymnast Nicole Burns delivered another excellent performance to claim a top-15 position at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia on Saturday.
The 20-year-old member of Manx Gymnastics Centre of Excellence was competing in the women’s all-around final having qualified 19th on Friday.
Burns executed a series of routines over the four disciplines, beginning with very clean and controlled performances on vault and uneven bars to score 10.250 and 10.900 respectively.
She followed it up with a precise, elegant display on the beam on her way to scoring 11.650 before delivering a very expressive performance on the floor, with the BBC commentators praising Nicole for her classical choreography as she scored 11.500.
These routines gave her a total score of 44.300 which was enough to place Burns in a fine 15th place overall.
