The Children’s Centre has thanked two businesses that donated presents for less well off families at Christmas.
Maitland and Contractor Service Group decided that, instead of giving gifts to other members of staff through ’Secret Santa’,they would donate to families that needed their Christmas brightening.
The presents were then donated to Manx families who the charity supports throughout the year.
Among the toys donated was a Paw Patrol Jenga set, a My Little Pony horse and doll, a Nerf gun, a stretchy Superman and so much more.
The charity, now based at Walberry Farm on the Old Castletown Road, Douglas, supports 38 families with 104 children in the island.
The Children’s Centre supports families and individuals up to 25 years old who face or have faced different challenges including domestic issues, bullying, anti-social behaviour, self-identity, parenting issues, crime and social isolation.
