Ramsey Commissioners are concerned about the suitability of the temporary tram station, which has been sited on the south side of Parsonage Road.
Board member Billy Hankin felt the facility was ’unfit for purpose’ and that the signage was insufficient to warn motorists.
Fellow member Julia Wedgwood queried if the relocation was due to work starting on the proposed transport interchange, but was informed that it was because of incidents of de-railing and that extensive works were required to the track.
The authority’s concerns have been raised with the Manx Electric Railway and a reply is awaited.
