A concert will take place in support of the Ramsey Pier Restoration Trust.

The concert, which organisers say will include talent from all ages, is on Thursday May 25, starting 7.30pm, at Ramsey Methodist Centre, Waterloo Road.

Admission is payable at the door. Tickets cost £5 for adults or £1 for children under 15.

Refreshments will be served and there will also be a raffle. A plea has been made for people to donate raffle prizes.

A spokesman for the group said: ‘Please come along and support your local variety artists and the Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust.’

A preliminary survey of the pier has been carried out and volunteers are now waiting for a licence to be granted allowing work to start on the first stage of restoration.
