A 10-year-old boy from Foxdale was found unconscious in a paddling pool, an inquest has heard.
Resuscitation attempts were carried out on Jack Whorrall at the scene, however the schoolboy later died at Noble’s Hospital on February 22.
Jack had been found face down in the paddling pool at his address at Archallagan Terrace, Foxdale, and was given CPR and other medication in the accident and emergency department at the hospital before his death was declared at 4.10pm.
Coroner of inquests John Needham said no marks were found on his body to ’indicate unnatural causes’, however a medical cause is ’yet to be established’.
Mr Needham asked for the body to be released for funeral arrangements and adjourned the inquest for a later date.
He asked for his ’sincere condolences’ to be passed on to the family.
