Andrew Fenton, aged 45, of Cronk Grianagh, Strang, appeared before magistrates denying failing to comply with a probation order.
It is alleged that he failed to engage with offence-focussed work as part of the order, which was imposed for an offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.
He was represented in court by advocate Paul Rodgers.
A pre-trial review will be held on February 2.
