A 46-year-old man has admitted driving after he was banned for drink-driving.

Brian Moore, of Douglas Head, also pleaded guilty to having no insurance and an unlicensed vehicle.

Prosecuting advocate Harry Bellis told the court that Moore was disqualified in March 2025 for three years.

Despite that, police stopped him on May 21, at Kewaigue Hill in Douglas, while he was driving a Mercedes Benz.

Checks showed the vehicle tax expired in March.

Moore was represented in court by duty advocate Paul Glover, who asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.

Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood adjourned the case until August 25.

Moore was also ordered to pay £175 within 30 days, relating to a fine which was in arrears.
