A 46-year-old who denies provoking behaviour at a Palestine Solidarity Campaign silent vigil has made a further court appearance.

Jason Leo Brown, of Empress Drive, Douglas was due for a pre-trial review on August 4, but claimed he hadn’t received the documents.

He said he’d been in touch with representatives of Tommy Robinson and they’d told him Article 10 of the Human Rights Act meant no crime had been committed, as it was ‘free speech’.

Mr Brown repeatedly told the prosecutor to ‘educate yourself’, said that ‘advocates were gutless’ as they wouldn’t represent him, claimed there was ‘two-tier policing’, and referred to a ‘totalitarian state’.

He requested a jury trial but was told that wasn’t possible in summary court.

The case was adjourned until today (September 1).
