Corey Daniel Kirby, aged 26, of Central Promenade, Douglas, has been charged with driving while under the influence of cannabis.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on April 18.

He was represented in court by duty advocate Sara-Jayne Dodge who asked for an adjournment until October 4, saying that Mr Kirby wanted time to instruct advocate Paul Rodgers.

Mr Kirby is alleged to have failed the drug test with a reading of 9.8. The legal limit for cannabis is two.

Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
