A well-respected island charity has celebrated a milestone occasion in style.
Cruse Isle of Man marked its 30th anniversary with a gala ball at the Claremont Hotel.
The event raised £5,200 for the organisation, which has supported more than 800 children and 3,000 bereaved adults in the island since being formed by the Reverend George Quinn in 1988.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception to the music of saxophonist Carlos Ariel Amoedo before being welcomed by chairman of Cruse Isle of Man, Sam Skelton.
The most emotional part of the evening came when three members of Cruzkids, which is headed up by Gill Skinner and supports bereaved children and young people, spoke of their personal experiences.
The three youngsters told the audience how the emotional and practical support and guidance they received from Cruse helped them deal with the loss of a loved one.
Guests also heard from Geoff Karran, patron of the voluntary and confidential bereavement support service as well as Cruse chief operating officer, Amanda Cafaero.
They then danced the night away to the music of Pete Dunn.
The charity, which is moving to new premises in Tromode, thanked all the guests and those who supported the evening, including principal sponsor Newfield, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Scheinberg Family, Children and Need and the Elizabeth Clucas Trust.
