A professional boxer will have his endurance tested to the limit in a 24-hour continuous circuit challenge for charity.
Danny Roberts, from Douglas, is used to gruelling training sessions, however he is taking on this extreme endeavour to raise £1,000 for a cause close to his heart - Huntington’s Disease Isle of Man.
’My nana died from it about four years ago and recently we’ve found out that mum’s got the same gene,’ he told the Manx Independent.
’Not a lot of people know about Huntington’s disease or the charity and so I want to get people’s attention.’
The event will take place from 8am on Saturday, August 17 to 8am the next day at Next Level Fitness in Onchan.
He is inviting members of the public to take part in the circuits with him by giving a donation. If circuits aren’t your thing, you’re equally encouraged to show your support by coming up to watch and giving donations.
The circuits will involve battle ropes, planking and other exercises.
Each upper, core and leg session will last for 12 minutes with every exercise lasting one minute followed by a 30 second recovery.
’I want people to come and think "oh, that’s tough!", but I’m trying to make it realistic,’ he said. For more informtion, visit: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/danielroberts24hr
