More than 100 riders are to take part in the annual Isle of Man Cycling Challenge will be taking place on the TT Mountain Course on Saturday.
Among the cyclists will be Armin Ziegler, who has ridden his velomobile (a human-powered vehicle with a roof) from Switzerland to take part in the cycling challenge, and Mark Howard who is a hand cyclist and returning for his third year to raise funds for The Bridge for Heroes, a charity which helps injured army veterans.
Also taking part is Steve Wood, a TT racer from the late 1980s.
The Cycling Challenge starts at the TT Grandstand at 8.30am and will finish at 5pm.
Event organiser Laura Mearns said: ’If drivers out on the TT course could keep an eye out for the cyclists and encourage them that would be much appreciated. Many of the riders are coming to the island for the first time, so it’s great if the welcome is warm, even if the weather isn’t.’
Entries are online at www.isleofmancc.com and close at noon tomorrow (Wednesday).
