William Michael Corrin, aged 56, of Derby Road, Douglas, has appeared in court charged with 10 counts of benefit fraud.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between 2017 and 2022.
Defence advocate David Reynolds asked for an adjournment until July 18, saying that legal aid was being finalised.
Bail continues.
