A man has appeared in court accused of a string of serious offences including rape and indecent assault.
Jon-Paul Fayle, 30, of Princes Avenue, Douglas, appeared before the Deputy High Bailiff on Friday morning when he was remanded in custody.
Mr Fayle is accused of rape, attempted rape, three counts of indecent assault, coercive and controlling behaviour, provoking behaviour and two charges of assaulting a police officer.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon said the complainant claims she was attacked at the defendant’s home address in the early hours of last Saturday (November 25).
Mr Fayle’s case was adjourned to Thursday this week (December 7) with a committal date set for January 23.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody by Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood.
