Justin Arbon, aged 47, of Foxdells, Birch Green, Hertfordshire, has denied four motoring offences.
He pleaded not guilty to having no insurance, having no vehicle licence, failing to conform to a traffic signal, and speeding.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on May 27 on the A1 in Glen Vine.
Mr Arbon was represented in court by advocate Jane Gray.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on September 28.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
