Martin Friel, aged 44, of Mona Drive, Douglas, will face a trial in summary court on April 28.
He has previously denied an allegation of obstructing police during a fracas involving five other people outside Sam Webbs on Boxing Day.
He was represented in court by duty advocate David Reynolds.
Mr Friel was given until March 31 to produce a defence statement as he is currently not represented by an advocate.
Bail continues in the sum of £500 with a condition to live at his home address.
