Carl Joseph Bridson, aged 39, of Derby Road, Douglas, has denied three allegations.
He pleaded not guilty to obstructing police, and two counts of threatening behaviour.
He is also charged with making unreasonable noise after a warning notice was issued.
He is yet to enter a plea to that charge as he said that he had paid a fixed penalty notice relating to it, so that will now be checked.
He was represented in court by advocate Casey Houareau.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court October 12.
Bail continues in the sum of £500.
