There has been over an hour's delay to this afternoon's Steam Packet sailing between Heysham and Douglas.

Dense fog at the Lancashire port meant this morning's Ben-my-Chree sailing didn't dock until 2.25pm, two hours behind schedule.

As a result it didn't depart again until 4.10pm. It is expected in Douglas just before 8pm.

This evening's sailing to Heysham will also be delayed as a result. It has a an estimated departure time of 9pm. Passengers are asked to check in no later than 8.15pm.
