A Manx charity is aiming to break through the £1 million landmark in fund raising during its 21st anniversary year in 2019.

The Diana Princess of Wales Hospice Care at Home Trust’s latest event towards reaching this goal is a dinner at the Comis Hotel on Saturday, July 13.

Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney and Lady Gozney will be guests.

Dress code is smart casual or lounge suits

Dinner will be served at 7pm and will be a three-course menu which will be followed by a raffle.

This will be followed by a performance by guitarist and musician Craig Ogden, a performer on Classic FM radio.

Tickets for the dinner are £50 per person and tables of 10 people are £500 and can be obtained from Ron Spencer (email: [email protected]).

The trust has raised about £900,000 since it was launched in 1998 by Don and Ali Westacott. All money raised by the trust is used to benefit Isle of Man residents only.

The care provided to patients and their families varies from two hours twice a week, to nine hours overnight care four times a week.

The demand for the Hospice At Home service has grown significantly over the last five years and is forecast to keep doing so.
