People who use motorbikes or other vehicles on the old Douglas to Peel railway line are being told not to.

The Department of Infrastructure has issued a reminder to motorists that they must not use the heritage trail.

In a post on social media, staff said: ’Motorbikes and vehicles are not permitted to use the walkway.’

It added: ’Police are monitoring the area to ensure the safety of all permitted users.’

The whole of the trail is open for TT week. Parts of it will be closed again afterwards for work on the surface.
