The weather forecast from the Met Office:
Today will be dry and bright with lengthy sunny spells and a mainly moderate southeast wind which will strengthen into the afternoon. Mild for the time of year with temperatures reaching up to 18 or possibly 19°C at best.
Dry this evening, then turning increasingly cloudy with scattered showers developing late in the night. Still breezy with a fresh to strong southeast wind and minimum temperature near to 13°C.
One or two passing showers are possible tomorrow morning, before a spell of rain develops for a time during the afternoon. Highest temperature around 16°C in the fresh southeast wind, which will turn to the southwest and ease as the rain clears. A further spell of rain will then move in overnight into Friday, accompanied by a strong to gale force south to southeast wind.
Outbreaks of rain will continue to affect the island on Friday, often becoming heavy and prolonged. Very windy with a gale or severe gale force south to southeast wind giving gusts of 50-60mph in places during the morning, before turning to the southwest and easing slightly towards midday, although still remaining strong to gale force. Maximum temperature of 16°C once more.
