The Education, Sport and Culture Minister will come under the spotlight on Monday.

Dr Alex Allinson will be questioned by Tynwald’s social affairs policy review committee at 10.30am in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Buck’s Road, Douglas.

The department’s new interim chief executive officer, Graham Kinrade, will also be questioned.

The hearing will focus on the findings of the critical independent review conducted by Beamans Management Consultants and the subsequent Council of Ministers’ response and action plan, as well as the provision of education throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.

The members of the committee are Julie Edge MHK (chair), Martyn Perkins MHK and Peter Greenhill MLC.

The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend.
