Year 6 pupils and their teachers returned to Ballacottier School yesterday (Thursday).
Most children will return to full-time education on Monday for the first time since the lockdown.
But Ballacottier deputy head teacher Riss Forrester said they were able to bring back their Year 6 students two days earlier.
She explained: ’Due to the upper juniors area not being used during the lockdown we were able to have it deep cleaned and ready for use on Thursday.
’We also had sufficient staffing to invite the Year 6 children back whilst still having hub provision for key worker children.
’It is great to have them back and we are looking forward to the rest of the children returning to school on Monday.’
