The island’s fee-paying schools are hoping to attract more pupils on Saturday, October 7.
The Buchan School’s open morning will start at 10am, when parents and children will be given a tour of the buildings with pupils as guides and senior and academic staff available to answer any questions.
The Buchan Nursery will also be staging an open morning at this time. King William’s College’s open afternoon will start at 2pm, with parents and children given a tour, and at 3pm principal Joss Buchanan will give an address in the Barrovian Hall, with academic staff on hand to answer questions.
Mr Buchanan said: ’Both the college and The Buchan School have proud histories of academic, drama, music and sporting achievements, with specialist subject teachers throughout the curriculum and languages taught from reception. We provide an exceptional level of pastoral care and learning support and have an extensive extra-curricular programme, with an average class size of 15.’
