A children’s nursery is celebrating its 15th anniversary.
Victoria House Nursery, on Victoria Road, Douglas, was opened in September 2005 by principal Carolyn Nicholson.
Since then, it has cared for more than 1,000 babies and toddlers.
The nursery, a previous winner of an Isle of Man Newspapers’ award for excellence, employs 20 people and currently cares for 80 children.
To mark the milestone, staff, parents and children enjoyed a celebratory picnic in the nursery’s grounds.
There was a surprise guest appearance from Mr Steve the Hospice Bear.
The raffle and fundraising activities raised £365 for the Rebecca House children’s hospice.
Principal Carolyn Nicholson said: ’We are incredibly proud to be marking the 15th anniversary of our nursery, which has become a significant part of the community.
’Looking back on the last 15 years and seeing how far we have come is truly heartwarming.
’We have built an exceptional team. We are so passionate about the service we provide families so it’s wonderful to reach this milestone.
’I would like to extend my huge thanks to all those families who have supported us over the years.’
