The government has announced that all schools will be open as normal tomorrow.

This includes Ballakermeen High School, which had been identified as a low-risk location for the transmission of Covid-19 last week.

A small number of students whom contact tracing identified as being potentially at risk went into self-isolation along with their households.

In last week’s government media briefing education Minister Dr Alex Allinson said that unless the situation changes over the weekend the school would open as normal on Monday.

Earlier today the government announced that no new cases of Covid-19 had been detected in the past 24 hours.

Dr Allinson stressed that any student who shows Coronavirus symptoms must stay home and self-isolate, and not attend school.
