A number of bus services are at risk of not running on the Isle of Man today (Sunday), while additional services planned for a cancelled music event have also been withdrawn.

Bus Vannin issued an updated list at 11.30am identifying eight services which are currently considered at risk.

The affected journeys are scheduled between 2.20pm and 8.16pm and include services connecting Douglas with Castletown and Port Erin, as well as routes through Onchan, Willaston and Birch Hill.

The services currently listed as at risk are:

* 2.20pm - Service 12a: Lord Street - Castletown - Port St Mary - Port Erin

* 2.59pm - Service 2a: Victoria Street - Onchan - Lord Street

* 3.24pm - Service 11: Port Erin - Colby - Castletown - Victoria Street

* 4.29pm - Service 11: Victoria Street - Birch Hill - Hailwood Avenue - Willaston - Lord Street

* 5.20pm - Service 12: Lord Street - Willaston - Hailwood Avenue - Birch Hill - Lord Street

* 6.10pm - Service 12: Lord Street - Castletown - Colby - Port Erin

* 7.23pm - Service 11: Port Erin - Colby - Castletown - Victoria Street

* 8.16pm - Service 11: Victoria Street - Birch Hill - Hailwood Avenue - Willaston - Lord Street

Bus Vannin described the journeys as being ‘at risk’, rather than confirming that they have been cancelled.

Meanwhile, additional Sunday services which had been due to operate for Ramsey Rocks will no longer run after the event was cancelled because of the weather forecast.

Bus Vannin said a standard Sunday service will instead be in place and that notices at bus stops relating to the additional services no longer apply.

The two additional journeys which will not operate are the 10.15pm Service 3 from Douglas to Ramsey and the 11.10pm Service 3 from Ramsey to Douglas.

The list of at-risk services was last updated by Bus Vannin at around 11.00am.
